Wow, time flies!

We're almost in 2024! There’s been so many changes and growth since our first block-printing station in August 2018. Back then, I had a vision of a place where people would gather, learn from each other, and create beautiful quilts together. Many of you have been with me on this journey, asking questions, giving advice, and enabling miracles!

This year, Q4C saw 1,118 reservations from 210 individuals, double the amount in 2022. We keep growing, meeting new people, and there's still work to be done to improve the Design Center, to make it more comfortable and functional as we grow. With that aside, the magic that we all experience at the Design Center is thanks to you and your openness to learn, share and create! Thank you!

I look forward to what we will create in 2024! What story will we be able to tell then?

Giving doesn’t start and stop on Giving Tuesday! Give when you can and how you see fit! No pressure!

Hey CSUN staff & students. This is for you! Do you have a garment or item that’s in need of a minor repair? Bring it! (FYI, we don’t do alterations or replace zippers, just simple fixes)

Join HaGomel and Quilting for Community in supportive and creative community as we envision our new year as an abundant, colorful and unique bouquet through fabric play, journaling, breath work, and sharing. The Writer’s Block

Do you like to write? Are you a story-teller? Have you thought about it? Short stories, poetry, non-fiction, science-fiction, etc?

A writing group has emerged out of this quilting community and we would like to continue to explore and nurture this aspect of creativity.

• This is not a class. There will be no instruction. Instead, it is a supportive circle of creative folk who want to get their ideas on paper!

• Creative prompts will be provided if needed.

• Beginning Jan. 8th, The Writer’s Block will meet in person at the Design Center twice a month, every 2nd Monday (10am-12pm) and/or every 4th Monday (6pm-8pm)
