Join us for a special workshop led by artist Lori Shocket! Lori’s mixed-media and textile art reflects a lifelong commitment to creativity, shaped by her exploration of abstract form and color. A trailblazer and healer, Lori was the first female paramedic in the U.S. and became a physician at 56—life experiences she now weaves into her powerful, narrative-driven art.

Join author Romalyn Tilghman for a discussion on her novel, To the Stars Through Difficulties, exploring its historical themes, storytelling power, and quilting's role in connecting past and present. This is a potluck—bring a dish and enjoy an afternoon of conversation and community. The novel is available in print and audiobook OR you can borrow a copy from the Q4C Library.

The Artist & The Quilters originated in 2020 as a Zoom series where artists of diverse backgrounds and media would share inspirations behind their work, exploring the connections between art, craft, and storytelling. Now, we can do it in person in our very own Studio Classroom!
