Perfect for beginners! Learn how to quilt and use a sewing machine. Your finished quilt will be donated to someone in hospice or a family shelter. Just $10 per session, all supplies are included. Most people complete their quilt in 3–4 sessions.

Learn how to use a sewing machine in this beginner class. You’ll learn the machine parts, how it works, and basic stitching techniques on our Husqvarna sewing machines, including threading, and straight stitch. All machines and supplies provided.
Draft a Custom Block/Sloper: Part 1 Bodice/Top ADVANCED - $50
YOU MUST BE ADVANCED IN WORKING WITH COMMERCIAL PATTERNS.
Learn how to make a custom block/sloper for your precise measurements with Dalia. This block can be used as a foundation to create and fit other patterns. This class is for intermediate to advanced sewists, not suitable for beginners.
Please note, each class is a stand alone class. You will need register for each date according to your needs .
All tools and materials will be supplied for the class.

Block of the Month - $25
Ready to move into intermediate quilting, whether you learned at Q4C or elsewhere? You learn one new block each month with direct instruction and steady support. You build skills through color choice, accurate cutting, piecing, and layout. Each block adds to a quilt that reflects your growth and your eye. This is a personal project designed to help you advance your skills with focus and consistency.

Pants: Build Your Wardrobe w/ Lauren -$60
This class focuses on creating a pants pattern shaped for your body.
Lauren walks you through taking accurate measurements, choosing the correct base size, and adjusting the pattern for waist, hips, rise, and length. You learn how to read a commercial pattern, make thoughtful fit changes, and understand how those adjustments affect the final garment.
You leave with a customized pants pattern you can reuse to build multiple pairs.

Learn how to sew a workwear jacket, from pattern to piece. You will purchase a digital $10 jacket pattern, print the pages out, and then we will work through putting the pattern together, cutting your fabric, sewing, and adding finishing touches. This is an intermediate class, you should have some experience using a sewing machine but no clothing sewing experience required.
First class: Piecing pattern and cutting fabric
Second class: Sewing jacket
Third class: Adding buttons, finishing sewing
Intermediate Sewing: How to Read a Commercial Pattern - $35
Feeling lost in the sea of projects and don’t know where to start? This is an intermediate class meant for those who know how to use a sewing machine, but need guidance with what to do next. You’ll walk away with the knowledge of what pattern to choose, and a finished product!
Class 1: 4/11 Picking out patterns, choosing fabric

Beginner Mending - $25
Extend the life of your clothing through hand mending, no sewing machine needed! In this workshop, you’ll learn hand sewing skills that will enable you to replace buttons, reinforce seams and patch holes in a decorative manner. The skills learned in this workshop can be used to embellish your clothing for personal style.
If possible, bring a garment with one of these mending needs: missing button - torn seam - hole in the fabric. Otherwise, skills will be taught as practice exercises.

Textile Bowl Workshop w/ Rodi -$60
Create sculptural fabric vessels for your home. In this six-hour workshop, you’ll make two pieces: a small practice form and a larger bowl. These soft structures are perfect for shelves, entry tables, sewing rooms, or seasonal displays.
Most iron-friendly cotton fabrics work well. Batiks are easiest. Bold prints shine. This is a great way to use fabrics you might not choose for quilting. Pattern included.

Intermediate Mending: Alterations Clinic w/ Monica - $35
Have some clothes stuck in the back of your closet that need some fixing? Bring them to the clinic to learn how to fix them! This is meant for those with some sewing experience. Class is structured based on what you bring, so whatever you want to learn how to try to fix, bring it!
Hawaiian Quilting II: Pattern Design - $35
Learn how to design your own pattern for Hawaiian quilt appliqué. Cyndi will walk you through designing your own crest that you can use for quilting.

Recycled T-Shirt Scarf - $35
Recycle your beloved yet well-worn t-shirts into a stylish, fashionable scarf! This sustainable fashion project is great for beginners and experienced sewists alike. Full supply list will be sent at time of registration. Students should have some sewing machine experience for this project, but this project is great for beginners since you’ll sew one long straight line to make the scarf.

In this workshop, you will design and add fabric to embellish your favorite denim jacket. We will start by making a pattern for each piece, including the collar, pockets, cuffs, and backing, then cut and sew everything into place. Basic sewing-machine use knowledge required.

Kanzashi Flower Accessories - $40
Kanzashi is a Japanese traditional craft often used to make hair accessories to wear with kimono. Ariel will walk you through making flowers that can be used to make hair combs, brooches, earrings, and more. If you have experience making origami flowers this will be a breeze for you.
